Hailing from the German rich land of south western Ohio, Lauren was raised on the tree lined roads of Oakwood. As a young adult she migrated south to the city of Canoas in Southern Brazil where she played and danced with the locals, and learned a new outlook on life. With her new knowledge she went north to Detroit; no one was sure the reason for that choice, but it seemed so that she could attend art school in the big city. At CCS she learned about painting and all the possibilities of art, and started a relationship with traditional oil painting. Upon graduating she explored the country as an adult driving between both coasts, and soon found herself selling fruit on the side of the road in Alaska. Now back in Detroit, Lauren is gearing up for a new adventure and another summer of exploration and art.
