designer, problem solver, artist, Gardener, & Dog lover

I am a designer and artist who is passionate about learning from the past to create beautifully designed user experiences for modern technologies from sensors, virtual care, to AI and IoT to technology driven software as a service. I am passionate about learning from users in order to design for them. My background includes product design, illustration and general work in industries of agriculture, sustainability, weather, mental healthcare, environment, special education, video conferencing, and food, working at start-ups, non-profits, and large 100 year old companies. I have more than 4 years experience managing teams & leading product’s design, I have lead a launch of a new brand and app, design apps for partner brands, & have been fortunate enough to work in the online design industry for over 15 years.

In my free time I focus on permaculture, urban farming/gardening, food preservation and learning past trades in order to create a more self sustainable existence. I believe technology when learning from the past can move us into a more meaningful future allowing less consumption, and preserve and understand more of the world around us.

In addition, I majored in Illustration and design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where I worked on my passion of story telling. I serve as President of the board for the arts non-profit, the Greater Bay Area Costuming Guild. I also share my love for my neighborhood in my community group Fruitvale Flourishes.
